Who we are
At Acadecap International School, our Grades 7 and 8 follow the Pre-Secondary School Programme (PSSP). In Grades 9 to 12, our students continue on with the Ontario OSSD curriculum, all the while taking full advantage of the higher-order thinking skills and rigorous preparation gleaned from completing the PYP and the PSSP.
The Pre-Secondary School Programme (PSSP), for grades 7 and 8, emphasizes intellectual challenges, guiding students to make connections between their studies in traditional subjects and the real world. It provides academic challenges and approaches to learning to complement the subject disciplines of the Ontario curriculum: English, French, Mandarin, Spanish, German, Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, Technology, the Arts, and Physical and Health Education. The PSSP ensures that students have the opportunity to learn by engaging with both local and global contexts and by developing the first tier of 21st Century Core Competencies Curriculum.
In Grades 9 to 12, our students continue on with the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) curriculum recognized by universities around the world. Our students are prepped with extensive conceptual understandings and knowledge, and various skill sets, including well-developed higher order thinking skills, to achieve academic success. They move on to the second and third tier of the 21st Century Core Competencies Curriculum.
