Cinco de Mayo by a grade 12 student reporter, M.V.:

Even with the dull and gloomy atmosphere that the COVID clouds have cast upon this school year, Acadecap's Grade 7/8 Spanish Class has still been able to celebrate “Cinco de Mayo”. The Grade 7/8s hosted a virtual meeting with the whole school in attendance. In the meeting, one of the grade 7/8 students presented her slideshow about the history and importance of Cinco de Mayo.  Along with the presentation, their Spanish teacher, Mme Cecilia, shared a video of how Mexicans celebrate the joyous day. Not only did we learn about Mexican heritage, we enjoyed the festive atmosphere and shared some laughs.
