Truth and Reconciliation Week

Our students in grade 7 to 11 are involved in units related to Indigenous studies, during English class.  The grade 7/8 class is reading Touching Spirit Bear, and researching the Tlingit people and the Spirit Bears of the Great Bear Rainforest.  The grade 9 to 11 students are reading Indian Horse, by Richard Wagamese, and participating in Truth and Reconciliation week activites and watching a variety of videos on Curio.ca.  Stay tuned for some of their poems and photos of some of their creations at the end of the unit.
